ERN eUROGEN Webinar 84: Outcome of vestibular fistulas: the ARMnet experience

This webinar was presented at Wednesday 11 October 2023 by Dr. Herjan van der Steeg, pediatric surgeon, Amalia Children’s Hospital, Nijmegen and Prof. Paola Midrio, pediatric surgeon, Ca' Foncello Hospital, Treviso. This presentation summarizes a study performed by the ARM-Net consortium concerning bowel function at the age of 4-7 years in rectovestibular patients. We will start with an overview of the methods and results: although median BFS at 4-7 year follow-up is nearly normal, the majority of patients suffers from some degree of soiling and constipation, and almost 25% needs bowel management. The presentation will procede with discussion points and finish with take home messages. The Colorectal webinar series covers all aspects of paediatric colorectal surgery.
