Read Description ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to another video, this time taking place in South Carolina with a buddy! It all started for me on the previous night before chasing the Lancaster & Chester. My buddy asked if I wanted to chase L&C with him early the following morning. Not having anything lined up until much later in the day, I said pretty quickly why not. The decision turned out to be a great one because on top of the cool power a movements we saw on Friday, we saw a rather rare one take place starting from Lancaster (hint hint, the power in the thumbnail). One that takes place roughly twice a month and that is Train 14 with a pair of blue GP38s working Ameristeel. Though unfortunately by the time we saw it, it had already worked there so we missed out on some photo opportunities, but what we lacked in opportunities on Lancaster was made back three fold in Fort Lawn where Train 12 and Train 14 basically met each other. Our day started of with Train 12 however and we chased it from Chester where Train 16 met it to Richburg. Went to Lancaster to find Train 14 along with the extra behind it ran by the trainmaster apparently and ended off our chase in Fort Lawn where everything seemed to converge. I haven't ventured out of familiar territory and state to chase on a railroad like this in what seems like a long time and it was a GOOD one too. My favorite spots from the chase had to have been the first spot we went to after Train 12 left the yard in Chester and the spot we went to afterwards with the S-curve. The last shot of the video with Train 14 is a contender as well since I wanted to get good shots of the blues since we were looking at 2 out of 5 of the blues left on the roster and we passed by one of them by itself during the chase so we ended up seeing 3. I definitely plan on going back to the L&C in the future and check out more cool spots on this cool operation of a railroad. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Train 12: Ex-CSX LC SD60M 8784 (Strong RS3L) Ex-CSX LC SD60M 8782 KLW LC SE32C 3203 Train 16: Ex-CN LC GP40-2LW (RL K3LA) Train 14: Ex-SOU LC GP38AC 2829 (RL K3LA) Ex-SOU LC GP38AC 2866 [Highhood] Train 10 (Extra Connected to Train 14): Ex-NS LC MP15DC 2369 (NF K3LA) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Railfanning Equipment: -Canon 77D with EFS 18-135mm lens and EF 75-300mm lens -Sony FDR-AX53 4K Camcorder (Main Cam) -iPhone XR (Secondary Cam) -Sony HDR-CX240 HandyCam (Ground Cam) -SLIK Pro 700DX Professional Tripod -Uniden BC75XLT Scanner -Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 0:00 - Intro 0:20 - Train 12 Starting Up And Getting Ready to Head East 3:23 - Where The Horn Action Starts and Train 12 Heads Eastbound 5:04 - First Spot in Chester at a Wooden Trestle Bridge 6:05 - Secondary View (Cam Kept Shifting From Unstable Base) 7:00 - Train 12 Arriving at An Industry Park East of Chester at The Wye 8:15 - Train 12 Waiting On Train 16's Arrival For Pick Ups 9:05 - Train 16 Arrives On Wye And Train 12 Pulls In With It + Horn Battle 10:00 - Secondary View of Train 16 With Horn Battle 11:05 - 12 & 16 Both Stopping 11:30 - 12 Hooking Up To 16's Dropoffs to Take East 12:45 - Train 12 Enroute to Richburg Climbing Up A Grade 14:20 - Secondary View of Train 12 Climbing The S-Curve Grade 15:35 - Third Ground View of Train 12 16:20 - Intercepting Train 12 Enroute to Richburg With Nice Horn Action 17:00 - Train 12 Arriving in Richburg To Work Some Industries 18:20 - Secondary View Of Train 12 Pulling Up 20:00 - Train 12's Switching Commences 25:20 - Train 14 Sitting in Lancaster About To Work More Industries 26:35 - Train 12 Pulling Into Fort Lawn To Drop Off Cars For Train 14 29:15 - Train 12 Reverses Onto Siding To Cut Away From Dropoffs 30:25 - Train 12 Pulling Up To Reverse Down Spur And Work Industry 31:00 - Secondary View Of Train 12 Pulling Up 31:30 - Train 12 Reversing Down Spur To Get Out Of Train 14's Way 32:25 - Train 10 Pulling Train 14 In To Pick Up Train 12's Dropoffs 33:35 - Secondary View of Train 14 With MP15DC Bringing Up The Rear 34:15 - Back To Main View Of Train 14 Reversing To Siding Track 35:05 - Secondary View Of Train 14's Reverse Move 36:00 - Train 14's Pair Of Geeps Getting Ready To Attach Pickups 37:00 - GP38 Blue Pair Reversing Down Siding 38:05 - Train 14 Pulling Train 12's Cut Out From Siding Track 38:50 - Train 14 Reattaching To Its Train And Disconnecting Train 10 with MP15DC 39:40 - Train 14 Continuing Its Journey Out Of Fort Lawn 40:30 - Secondary View Of Train 14 From Vantage Point 41:44 - Outro
