Royer-RODE Ribbon mics on acoustic guitar comparison

A quick ribbon mic comparison between an active RODE NTR and a Royer R121 matched with a Cloudlifter on a Martin HD28. For reference I also recorded a Neumann KM184 since it's a widely used condenser mic and should have an easily recognizable tone signature. Using the Cloudlifter on the Royer basically turns it into an active mic and makes longer distance mic setups on solo acoustic guitars possible without nearly the noise floor worries of a passive set up. I personally prefer ribbons over small diaphragm whenever feasible and being able to add a touch of high end to a Royer R121 will make it a first choice to acoustic guitars from here on out. Video examples have no pre/post processing. Just microphones and preamps.
