If not, it could be an entry point for water, in addition to making the grout itself harder to clean. This video shows you a few DIY tips on how to apply grout sealer. Obviously, check your grout brand and read the manufacturer's instructions as to if you can/should/must seal it. I'm using Ultracolor in this video for a shower (sealing is optional, but I'm doing it!). Also, if you have a porous surface like stone or marble, you can apply this impregnator sealant I'm using to the surface (not applicable or needed for porcelain tile??). Apply with a brush to avoid having to clean up your tiles!
