Hey everyone, I am really stoked about this video! The Purple People Eater makes a run at Irwindale Drag Strip with a new engine, so hold on tight and follow me! Here are the engine specs: Engine is a 1961 Pontiac 389 with a Butler Performance Stroker rotating assembly. It is bored,, stroked,, balanced, and comes to 450 cubic inches. It has a custom grind 600 lift roller cam. 1969 Pontiac GTO heads cast number #62 have been extensively modified, ported, polished, bench flow tested, with stainless 2.02 & 1.77 valves, triple springs, 6.5 roller rockers. A 671 blower sits on top of a Mickey Thompson intake, and on top of all that is a Hilborn 4 port injection. A highly built 2 speed powerglide transmission with 3,000 RPM Stall converter. Out back is a 1957 Pontiac rear with 4 11 gears, posi traction, and rare Mickey Thompson disc brakes. Moon 18" 12 spoke spindle mount wheels up front, and 5 spoke American Racing wheels on the rear.
