Meeting Rob Paulsen!

Nope, this is not clickbait. Some of you may already know this but in my life, there are 3 people whom I really admire: Fred Rogers, Elton John, and Rob Paulsen. And today, I actually got to meet one of them. It's not Mister Rogers because, unfortunately, he's dead. It's not Elton John because the dude's famous af so it's impossible to actually try and meet him. That's right, I actually got the chance to meet the one and only Rob Paulsen, the legendary American voice actor, singer, throat cancer survivor, and animation legend. He's known for providing a HUGE plethora of recognizable cartoon voices for over 35 years (Yakko and Pinky from Animaniacs, Carl Wheezer from Jimmy Neutron, The Mask, Raphael and Donatello from the TMNT franchise, Mark Chang from The Fairly OddParents, etc). The dude is EVERYWHERE, from Nick to Disney to CN to WB. I've really admired this guy for such a long time and I've always wanted to meet him, going back to 2017. I hear his voice on every single cartoon I've watched as a kid and he is super talented. But what I love the most about Rob is not just his incredibly talented voice, but also his generosity, his kindness, his humor, and his grace. He's both extraordinarily talented and extraordinarily wholesome and never thinks of himself but of other people every step of the way. Next to Mister Rogers, I proudly consider Rob Paulsen an inspiration, and the fact I actually got the chance to meet him and speak with him (albeit through a computer) is really a dream come true. There was really so much I wanted to say to him but unfortunately I only had 4 minutes. Nevertheless, he was very understanding and generous every single second. I've heard a lot of people say how kind and generous and sweet he is, and they weren't kidding. I still am in disbelief that I actually got to meet someone who has made a huge impact on my life. Reading his "Voice Lessons" memoir book has made me got to know a lot more about Rob and what made him the person he is today. I'm forever grateful for him and for all that he has done for so many people in this life. Thank you, Rob, for being part of so many childhoods, including my own, and for bringing joy and laughter to the hearts of millions of people. And a special thank you to the kind folks at Wizard World for giving me this phenomenal opportunity to speak to a very phenomenal person.
