Hi guys & gals. In this episode, myself and Mario hit the reefs in search of Kob/Mulloway. It was a slow morning with Mario getting stuck into the undersize fish. After a few spot moves we got stuck into a few Smooth Hound Sharks AKA The Poor Man's GT! We also caught up with ‪@rgfishingsa‬ & ‪@TheFishingMob‬, with good banter always a must between us and me getting a size fish for dinner. A good morning spent on the reefs. The ideal conditions for Kob or Mulloway, here by us, is at least 2 to 3 days of good South East. That will bring the ginger beer colour we look for when targeting Kob/Mulloway. The first day of South is still ok for the Kob or Mulloway, but after that it gets a bit slow. Best bait for Kob or Mulloway, I have found chokka or squid to be the best, however fishy baits also work for Kob or Mulloway, like sardines, maasbanker, mackerel etc. Livebait would obviously be the best for Kob or Mulloway, but it is a mission to drag the closed bucket on the reefs.
