On March 29, 2022, 8 year old Navin Jones was found unresponsive in his home in Peoria, Illinois. Weighing just 30 pounds and covered in bruises, Navin passed away at the hospital later that day. Stephanie Jones and Brandon Walker were arrested and charged with his murder the next day. Over the last 2 years many details have been revealed regarding the extent of Navin's abuse. He was often locked in a small room with no access to food, water, or the bathroom. He was often beaten or restrained. He would also have to endure ice baths or others form of torture whenever he was "punished". Illinois DCFS has been involved with Navin and his family from the day he was born, yet they still failed to protect him. * In November 2023, Stephanie Jones entered a guilty plea for the murder of her son, Navin Jones. She is scheduled to be sentenced in February 2024. In December 2023, Brandon Walker was found guilty of the murder of his son, Navin Jones. He is scheduled to be sentenced in February 2024.
