In this segment, Shahīd Motahharī speaks of the role of prophethood in nurturing reason and intellect among the people in the path of God-consciousness. -- Thaqalayn is an Islamic educational platform which provides translations of notable scholars on a wide range of topics, within the framework of the Shiʿi school of thought. We seek to adhere to the commandment of the Prophet ﷺ in the universally accepted, mutawātir tradition of the Two Weighty Things [al-Thaqalayn] in which we were instructed to hold on to the Qurʿān and the Ahl al-Bayt [The Household of the Prophet ﷺ] for guidance.
