The time has finally come – after seven weeks in the shipyard, AIDAdiva has set sail on her first voyage to Italy and Malta. AIDA has invested around 100 million euros in the conversion, dubbed "AIDA Evolution." But this wasn't just about comprehensively renovating the almost 18-year-old ship – it was also about adapting it to the developments of recent years and ensuring the future viability of the ship class. Of course, I couldn't wait, so I booked my first voyage immediately after the shipyard stay – I was so excited to see what awaited me on the ship after the conversion. So I took advantage of the time on board and thoroughly explored the new features. Incidentally, I first got to know AIDAdiva on the third voyage after its christening in 2007 – which made me all the more curious to see what had changed on board.
