Muy Antigua, Venerable y Pontificia Archicofradía Sacramental de Nazarenos del Santísimo Cristo de la Redención y Nuestra Señora de los Dolores es una hermandad de culto y procesión malagueña, más conocida como Dolores de San Juan, por tener su sede canónica en la parroquia de San Juan del centro de Málaga. La Cofradía Sacramental se erigió en la Parroquia de San Juan en 1487. La Hermandad de penitencia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, se fundó también en la parroquia de San Juan Bautista de Málaga y en fecha incierta del siglo XVI. Agregación de la Cofradía Sacramental de San Juan a la Archicofradía Sacramental de la Minerva en septiembre de 1540. Se independizó de la extinta hermandad matriz de Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Columna de la parroquia de San Juan en el año 1675. En 1984 se incorpora la advocación del Stmo. Cristo de la Redención Es de las pocas corporaciones pasionistas que conservan elementos patrimoniales y documentales de su pasado histórico. Mantenida como mera Hermandad de culto interno, a partir de 1988 recuperó la procesión anual con un gran sentido de misticismo y sobriedad. Es la única Hermandad agrupada que procesiona con capilla musical en lugar de banda. Very Old, Venerable and Pontifical Sacramental Archconfraternity of Nazarenes of the Most Holy Christ of the Redemption and Our Lady of Sorrows is a brotherhood of worship and procession from Málaga, better known as Dolores de San Juan, for having its canonical headquarters in the parish of San Juan from the center of Málaga. The Sacramental Brotherhood was established in the Parish of San Juan in 1487. The Penitential Brotherhood of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores was also founded in the parish of San Juan Bautista in Málaga and on an uncertain date in the 16th century. Addition of the Sacramental Brotherhood of San Juan to the Sacramental Archconfraternity of La Minerva in September 1540. It became independent from the extinct parent brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Columna of the parish of San Juan in the year 1675. In 1984 the invocation of the Stmo. Christ of the Redemption It is one of the few Passionist corporations that preserves heritage and documentary elements of its historical past. Maintained as a mere Brotherhood of internal worship, from 1988 it recovered the annual procession with a great sense of mysticism and sobriety. It is the only grouped Brotherhood that processions with a musical chapel instead of a band.
