The Miami Herald has a surveillance camera overlooking the general area of the crime scene. The nearly seven minute video shows an officer pull up on scene and cautiously peer over the barrier to the sidewalk of the underpass. After seeing what Rudy Eugene was doing, he can be seen drawing his service weapon, though you cannot clearly see anything else. However, reports suggest the officer commanded Eugene stop eating the face and Eugene growled, ignoring the commands. The officer reportedly shot Eugene but this did not stop him from his feast. It took multiple gunshots to stop and kill him. After Eugene was killed, the victim can be seen moving his legs throughout the video and at the end attempting to sit up. Throughout the seven minute clip, no one appears to help the victim but he was eventually brought to a hospital where he remains unidentified and in critical condition.
