Is causality fundamental? | Yasaman Yazdi Interview

Yasaman Yazdi is a theoretical physicist whose research focuses on causal set theory, an approach to quantum gravity that models spacetime as a discrete structure of elementary events ordered by causality. She has worked on the dynamics of causal sets, the emergence of continuum spacetime from discrete orderings, and the role of quantum fields and entropy in such fundamentally discrete geometries. Yazdi completed her PhD at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics & the University of Waterloo and has held research positions at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies and Imperial’s Theoretical Physics Group.
