🌱 This Week on Matt’s Allotment | UK No-Dig Garden Progress 🌱 In this week’s episode of Matt’s Allotment, we’re tackling the big job of clearing out the contaminated compost bay left behind by the previous tenant. It’s full of plastic and bindweed, so the mission is to restore this space and move one step closer to creating a truly abundant allotment. As part of my commitment to no dig gardening and permaculture principles, I’m avoiding unnecessary soil disturbance — instead of digging out the bindweed, I’ll be smothering it naturally to help regenerate the area over time. The goal is to turn this whole plot into a permaculture paradise come spring, while removing as much waste and plastic from the site as possible. We also added a lovely little fencing detail around the thornless blackberries, bringing symmetry and a beautiful natural divide to the garden.
