This roundtable covers the varied paths which our panelists -- members of the Association of Black Anthropologists (ABA) -- took to becoming practicing anthropologists. The event highlights their experiences and contributions to applied anthropological work and society as a whole. This discussion also introduces viewers to other possible career paths outside of academia in light of the restructuring of academia due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as highlight successful Black practicing anthropologists. Moderated by Dr. Bertin M. Louis, Jr., ABA President-Elect and Associate Professor of Anthropology and African American and Africana Studies at the University of Kentucky, the roundtable features Drs. Robert Adams Jr. (Senior Consultant with ThomasLeland), Raymond Codrington (Executive Director, Hi-ARTS), Arvenita Washington Cherry (founder of Phoenix Cultural Resources, LLC), and Alisha Winn (owner and founder of Consider the Culture).
