Check me out here: https://www.til.co/daveruchpaul/lessons Easy Beginner Guitar Songs Scarborough Fair Simon & Garfunkel Learn how to play a basic fingerstyle pattern for Scarborough Fair for beginner guitar players 📢Need help?    • Scarborough Fair - Simon and Garfunkel   About: In this beginner guitar lesson, you'll learn how to play Scarborough Fair using a simple fingerstyle guitar technique.This beginners guitar lesson uses a simple, but effective fingerstyle pattern.It is not the same as played by Paul Simon in the original but a stripped back version that can easily be played by beginner guitar players.You can find the original full guitar lesson for this fingerstyle pattern above and in the description below. This song is played in waltz time or 3/4 time.This fingerstyle, or fingerpicking, pattern uses the thumb and the first three fingers.The fingers play exactly the same pattern and rhythm all the way through the song.However, the thumb plays the bass notes on the 4th, 5th and 6th strings (not all at the same time!).You wiill find that while it is a simple pattern getting the coordination between the thumb and fingers may take time, so practise!!! The songs is split up into a number of parts to make learning it easier.The chords used are mostly basic open chords and those are G, Em, A and D and you can find a playlist to those chords in the description below if you need additional support with those chords.There is one chord that might make life a little difficult and that is the Bm (link below) but that's only played once throughout each verse.
