0:00 Introduction to the K Building & The Why 0:44 What is a K Building? (Hybrid Steel & Wood Design) 1:45 New Building Specs & Future Farm Plans 3:14 K Building Benefits & Learning from the Past 5:00 Construction Day 1: Site Layout and Drilling the Piers 6:03 The 3-Foot Auger Demonstration and Tool Investment 8:29 Forming the Concrete Pillars 11:17 Preparing the Foundation: Costs and Site Challenges 13:16 Construction Day 2: Pouring Concrete and Setting Bolts 14:32 Conclusion and What to Expect Next Since the collapse of my hoop building (Coverall) due to a heavy snow load, I decided to build a K Building in its place to serve as an equipment barn and later an indoor horse riding arena. I hired a Amish crew who was very experienced with these buildings. I am documenting the construction of this building and how it is put together. This is the first barn of two that are going up. This building is 60' x 135' x 16' and will be metal sided. If your interested in this type of building please watch and see how it is constructed to determine if this building is for you. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share your building ideas and experiences in the comments. #kbuilding #horsebarn #metalbuilding ─────────────── 📍 Brad Kemp - Blue Nile Farm | Hay • Horses • Equipment • Country Living 📌 Northeast Ohio 🌾 I’m Brad Kemp from Blue Nile Farm — a working hay and equipment operation focused on real results, not fancy trends.
