Join me on my 2020 northbound thruhike of the Cotswold Way! The Cotswold Way is a 100 mile hiking route stretching from Bath to Chipping Campden. It is 1 of the 15 England and Wales National Trails. I hiked the trail in 3 Days 22 Hours with a base weight of around 4kg, wild camping 3 nights and staying in a campsite 1 night. This was my second National Trail, having previously hiked the Peddars Way & Norfolk Coast Path. I found the Cotswold Way to be a challenging, yet fully rewarding hike. It packs a lot of punch for a short distance, there is some beautiful farm land walking, a good amount of 'ridge walks', a few incredibly beautiful little villages, and a whole lot of British feel. I found some of the climbs on this route surprisingly steep, make sure you pack light & bring plenty of water as there is often none whatsoever on trail.
