Another year is over and the December competition results are finally ready. It has taken such a long time because I had a hard time deciding on the order of the finalists, and that was because the pictures were better than ever. At some point this exponential improvement has to level off, it just hasn’t done so yet! I talk as fast as I can but still had 50 finalist images to get through, so this is a longish video. But you still need to watch it just to see an appreciate the awesome amount of talent we have out there. Keep it up and congratulations to our finalists and our eventual winner (I won’t spoil the surprise)! This month the competition is very different - macro video - 10-60 seconds, MP4 (H.264) and keep it under 1GB I will discuss the details concerning entries during our livestreams. This whole month s about macro video - from the gear to the basic skills, lighting, data management, and post-production. I will even do a mini tutorial on how to prepare upload and post a video of your own to YouTube. I will be doing a video review of Laowa’s new 100mmT2.9 2X macro cine lens and show you how to build your very own ultimate macro video rig.
