I started this piece in the middle of last year, with the intention of recontextualizing “Étude No. 2”. It was a relatively simple idea, upon which several iterations of editing and directional changes were made. This project has grown to mean so much more than that, and it contains several fragments of my (and my friends’) feelings across 7+ months of time. From absurdity to tenseness, I wanted to explore a diverse range of visual and musical dynamics. I wanted these dynamics to urge you to watch, listen, entertain, and consume, despite however painful and neurotic they may be. The pacing for this piece was primarily defined by what I thought would be an epileptic's worst nightmare, and the tone was as unserious as it was foreboding. I am grateful to have ‪@2tsuji‬ and    / @arcerionmusic   's effort and artistic direction in completing this project. It could have not been what it is without them. Please show them love and appreciation, as they are both very amazing artists! This project is dedicated to Sam and Caleb, who have both been really close friends of mine in the editing community. I’ve made many fond memories with both of them, and they (along with many others of sync) have a special place in my heart. Lastly, this project is our audiovisual contribution representing One Expression (1XP). 1XP is an art project - an experiment in creation and connection, and a living study of everything creative. It is a space where artists of every kind can come together to create, learn, and evolve. We believe in the power of expression and the beauty of exploration through art.
