Ski Acres became the first ski area in Washington to install a chairlift in 1949, a year after the ski area first opened. The manufacturer is unknown, but was most likely American Steel & Wire or Riblet. It was known as Single Chair, and ran from the base of Ski Acres to the top of the ridge, serving the Triple 60 and Parachute trails. Almost 40 years later, in 1980, Ski Acres combined with Snoqualmie, but they kept their own respective names. After being around for almost 40 years, Single Chair was in need of replacement, as it served a lot of terrain, and out of date compared to other areas. In 1983, at 35 years old, Single Chair was replaced with a much higher capacity lift. Dubbed Triple 60, the trail it runs up the right side of, it was the most modern lift at Ski Acres at the time. Following the lift upgrade, in 1986, crossover trails were added, creating ski access between Ski Acres and Snoqualmie, further solidifying them as a single resort. Triple 60 is a CTEC triple. It uses early CTEC sheaves and towers without lifting frames, an Enterprise drive terminal with counterweight tensioning, and an Orion fixed return. As most other chair lifts at the mountain at the time, Triple 60 doesn't use safety bars. With the bottom terminal sitting above the lodges, requiring a somewhat steep hike to reach, and appealing mainly to advanced/expert skiers, it typically doesn't get lines. Safety bars are unlikely to come in the future, especially with this lift's planned replacement with a detachable quad, which would be the shortest detachable quad in Washington, after the current record holder, Green Valley at Crystal Mountain.
