Making Fine Furniture In A Garage

So, I saved this slab from a pile that was most likely to be burned. It was ugly (maybe still is). But, when I milled the little slab, I was happy with what I found. It's a unique looking piece, for lack of better words. Okay it's ugly. It wont be everyones favorite, but fits right in with some of the other weird looking things I have made and have around the house. The base is all maple and walnut. The legs have half blind dovetails, the drawer has through dovetails, which are finally getting easy to cut by hand. Hats off to the ‪@katzmosestools‬ Dovetail Jig. I veneered the back panel. I actually had a really neat sun burst pattern then got carried away trying to fix one small gap and created several. That panel is definitely going to the burn pile. This was the first time I have used veneer in a piece of furniture. I'm looking forward to doing more with it in the future. #rivertable #coffeetable #woodworking
