The King of the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed Sunday's shootout was the brand new McLaren Solus GT, which set the fastest time of this year's edition in 45.34 seconds in the hands of Marvin Kirchhofer. The Solus GT is based on the 2017 McLaren Vision Gran Turismo concept that appeared in the Gran Turismo Sport video game, built around a bespoke carbon fibre monocoque chassis that incorporates numerous designs and features from current Formula One cars, such as ground effect and crash structures. It's powered by a Judd-derived 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 engine which is able to produce 840hp, 640Nm of torque and rev up to 10,000 rpm. Kerb weight is just 1,000 kg.
