First, enjoy a thrilling 10-minute, 885 meter (2,904 feet) ascent in a glass gondola up Mount Habrich to the summit lodge, which offers sweeping views of the Howe Sound and surrounding Coast Mountains. Next, walk across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge which is approximately 100 meters long and offers 360 views of the area. Then, hike the Spirit Loop and Panorama Loops trails and soak in the majestic views. Lastly, enjoy the breathtaking views from the gondola again on the way down the summit. “The Sea to Sky Gondola is an aerial tramway in Squamish, British Columbia, that offers a thrilling 10-minute ride from the base to the summit, providing panoramic views of Howe Sound, the coastal forest, and mountains. At the summit, visitors can experience the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, enjoy walking trails, and visit the Summit Lodge, which features a restaurant and retail areas. The custom-made, 8-person gondola cabins have floor-to-ceiling glass windows for an immersive viewing experience, and the area is accessible year-round for both summer and winter activities like hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing.” Spirit Loop This trail takes you on a cultural journey through the history of the land and First Nations people. The wide, easy trail offers breathtaking views of Atl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound, Sky Pilot, and Goat Ridge. A short, easy trail with minimal elevation change. The Spirit Loop can be accessed in two ways, from the Backyard Plaza, and from the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. Interpretive signage along the trail provides information on history, wildlife, and alpine vegetation. Stroller accessible. Panorama Loop This 1.3 km loop walk takes you through coastal forest, Alaskan blueberry bushes, and granite outcroppings. Viewpoints with handcrafted cedar benches dot the trail for rests with a view. The Panorama Loop has an easy elevation grade of approximately 8-10%, allowing people of all ages and fitness levels to complete it in under an hour. Halfway through the trail is the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform: a cantilevered deck that juts out over a sheer drop and offers majestic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains. The Panorama Loop is open year-round.
