Then, hike the Spirit Loop and Panorama Loops trails and soak in the majestic views. The wide, easy trail offers breathtaking views of Atl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound, Sky Pilot, and Goat Ridge. A short, easy trail with minimal elevation change. The Spirit Loop can be accessed in two ways, from the Backyard Plaza, and from the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge. Interpretive signage along the trail provides information on history, wildlife, and alpine vegetation. Stroller accessible. Panorama Loop This 1.3 km loop walk takes you through coastal forest, Alaskan blueberry bushes, and granite outcroppings. Viewpoints with handcrafted cedar benches dot the trail for rests with a view. The Panorama Loop has an easy elevation grade of approximately 8-10%, allowing people of all ages and fitness levels to complete it in under an hour. Halfway through the trail is the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform: a cantilevered deck that juts out over a sheer drop and offers majestic views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.
