HiDef: RARE! Last Active GE C39-8 In Action-PN W230 in Daylight!

In the Spring of 2020, SEPTA announced it would be running on a reduced schedule due to the coronavirus pandemic. This would mean that normally nocturnal freight W230, operated by the Pennsylvania Northeastern Railroad (PN), would be able to run during daylight hours. With this news, I headed out to chase the operation one day in April of last year, and was not disappointed. Aside from the gusty winds, it was a gorgeous day out, and the W230 was using its extremely rare former Conrail GE C39-8, and a former CN SD40-2W for power. Watch as we follow the train out of Lansdale out to Warminster, and then back to Lansdale at the end of the afternoon. I apologize for the excessive wind noise and the piece of dust on my video camera's lens in this video. This was a chase I'd not soon forget, and I hope you all enjoy it as well.
