QE2 1990 Cruise and NYC Arrival. Galley Visit & Waiter Parade RMS Queen Elizabeth 2

Lots of inside footage! 1990 September cruise on the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 to New York City Setting up the Columbia restaurant room for service and a stop at the three tapestries designed by Helen Banynina Hernmarck depicting the launch of QE2 in 1967 (I understand these were damaged by vandals). A visit outside and a look at a lifeboat. A good look inside the Grand Lounge then its a galley tour with a busy service prep underway. Captains dinner in the Queen's Grill, a waiter parade of sparklers, and a glimpse of the Captain himself. An Art show or sale is on and a guest is playing the piano (not sure what lounge this is), ships bell and shops. Back on deck, a stop at the tennis courts and then up to the top deck. A look at the smokestack and people lounging - looks like a chilly day. Back in the Grand Lounge its a horse race, a glimpse of the Concorde (must be outside the casino) then on to a buffet compete with Ice and butter sculptures. Arrival in New York City, under the Verrazano Bridge and end at the Statue of Liberty. Looks like a great cruise despite the weather.
