DIY tire valve stem replacement tutorial using the ever popular manual tire changer. Safe on alloy wheels and works equally well with TPMS sensor valve stems or metal valve steams. Make sure you use quality brand name tire valves during replacement! Premature failure of tire values has become a big and dangerous problem over the past couple decades with several valve stem recalls due to sudden failure resulting in rapid tire deflations from low quality valve stems. As shown in this video, these one year old cheap no name valve stems have almost rotted through and would have failed shortly if not caught in time. The premature valve rot shown was found during a routine tire pressure check so be sure to quickly look at your valves when you check your tire pressures, even if they aren't that old.
