Awesome Vintage Otis Manually Controlled Freight Elevator A

This is the second of four videos of the Historic Ford Centre in Minneapolis, MN. It was built in 1913 as one of the first Ford Motors manufacturing facilities in the country. It has turned into a mixed-use office and studio building in the last 30 years but is largely untouched. Sadly, they are gutting the building and doing a complete renovation starting this month. I wanted to get all the elevators on video before they are gone. This is a 100% original, MANUALLY controlled Otis traction freight elevator. This is one of three in the building. Two are manually controlled, one is automatic. Please see all three videos! These are all DC drive, you can hear the motors and gen-sets. Sorry for the lighting on this one it was DARK. Floors 1-11
