Because of this constant circulation, Dunewatch has a surprisingly mild climate compared with the surrounding desert. People can walk comfortably through open plazas, shaded walkways, and gardens. Water collected by the towers also sustains plant life across the city. Small groves, rooftop gardens, and quiet pools appear between buildings, offering places where residents gather to rest and talk. Food is supplied partly from nearby agricultural towns that use the same water technology to irrigate fields and greenhouses.
