The Fort Assiniboine Lawn Mower Racing Association celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Hamlet Hoedown Annual Fair & Rodeo on August 17, 2024. Held every August in Fort Assiniboine, the lawn mower race welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels. Among the racers is young Jacob Kuelken, who, alongside his father, has become a local favourite. Kuelken’s enthusiasm for fixing and building motors adds an extra layer of excitement to the races.
