This market is located in Kunming city, the capital of Yunnan Province in Southwest China. Zhuanxin Food Market has been in use for over 25 years since its establishment in 1998. In addition to traditional stalls selling fresh produce, meat, poultry, and seafood, there are also various local delicacies that are irresistible to visitors, such as steamed pork with rice flour, sweet white wine, spicy marinated chicken feet, salted fish, tofu pudding with rice noodles, Dai-style grilled eggplant, and lemon hand-torn chicken. Originally just a local market, it has gradually become a popular destination for young people and tourists to "check in" at these food stalls, making it a viral attraction. Yunnan Province is a major producer and consumer of wild mushrooms in China. There is a dedicated area for wild mushroom trading on the second floor of the market. From May to September each year, various wild mushrooms from Yunnan are traded here, including porcini, matsutake, truffles, chicken drumstick mushrooms, dried morels, green-head mushrooms, C. geesteranus, matsutake buds, bamboo fungus, and more. Most stalls offer packaging and shipping services to send your purchases throughout China. Yunnan Province is known for consuming the most wild mushrooms in China, but it is also the province with the highest incidence of food poisoning, far exceeding other provinces. Nowadays, if you say Zhuanxin Food Market is a calling card of Kunming, it is no exaggeration. Many locals call it the "real food paradise of old Kunming," while others consider it a "barometer of Kunming's prices." 03:53 - Vegetable stalls, including fava beans, garlic sprouts, bamboo shoots, okra, taro, etc. 05:50 - Tomb Sweeping Festival offerings stall, selling joss paper money, incense, folded paper gold ingots, paper flowers, etc. 06:09 - Meats stalls 06:55 - Fruits including durian, soursop, pineapple, mulberry, fig, and dragon fruit. 07:42 - Egg varieties including duck eggs, sea duck eggs, quail eggs, double yolk eggs, chicken eggs, and pigeon eggs. 10:29 - Stalls selling household items such as pots, bowls, dishes, and pans 10:40 - Chili spice stalls.
