At a NATO summit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Israel, accusing it of threatening peace in the Middle East and worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He called for a permanent ceasefire between Israel and Iran and condemned the ongoing blockade of aid to Palestinians. Erdogan also renewed Turkey’s request to rejoin the U.S.-led F-35 fighter jet program, expressing optimism after speaking with President Donald Trump. Turkey had been ousted from the program in 2019 over its purchase of Russian missile systems. Erdogan claimed the S-400 issue was not discussed, and emphasized that Turkey had already paid over $1.3 billion toward the jets. #erdogan #nato #middleeast #palestine #gaza #Iran #Israel #netanyahu Times Of India (TOI) Is The Largest Selling English Daily In The World.
