I’ve been drawing the 100 Days of Tangling patterns (from the Tangle All Around group in Facebook) and I post my sketchbook pages in the Community section of my YouTube channel. One of my subscribers said she was interested in the pattern Shasta (Plechdova Natalie @arsenika.zen). On the step out for this pattern she says that it is a combination of the patterns Cadent (Zentangle, Inc.) and Buttercup (Sandy Steen Bartholomew). I thought it would be fun to put all three on a tile. In the video I mentioned the Cadent step out on the Tangle Patterns website. It has links to several pages of variations that are fun to try: https://tanglepatterns.com/2010/05/ho.... I encourage you to check out “Cadent, and then some…” from Margaret Bremner. I love her variations! https://enthusiasticartist.blogspot.c... Patterns used in this video: Cadent by Zentangle, Inc. Buttercup by Sandy Steen Bartholomew, CZT Shasta by Plechdova Natalie (@arsenika.zen) Supplies Used in the video: Zendala, 3.5" Zentangle tile, a sketchbook, or any paper Black Micron 01 pen or PN (or your choice of pens and colors) Graphite pencil Blending stump Optional: Colored pens or pencils If you’re interested in adding background color to your tiles, please see the videos in this playlist: • Zentangle Tile Backgrounds Here is the video that explains the disc binding system that I use to hold some of my tiles: • Disc Binding System for Organizing my Art ...
