The Akubra Federation IV Deluxe [in Dark Brown]
This is the Akubra Federation IV Delux. It is a factory made hat by Akubra - an Australian hat company known for quality - this hat is exclusively sold though The Hatters (http://www.hatsdirect.com). This hat features Akubra's heritage rabbit/hare blend fur felt, sheep leather sweatband, satin lining, and grogorsian ribbon. The Federation IV's Dark Brown color is darker than the true Indiana Jones hat's sable color, but will fade to a lighter color over time, or so I heard. The standard non-Deluxe version sells for about $85 - $88 USD, and the deluxe between $133 - $136USD, depending on the fluxuation of AUD v USD currency conversion rates. The delivery time, since this hat is not hand-made, is shorter than a custom hand-made fedora. From order to delivery from Katoomba, Australia to the Northeast U.S took about 2 and 3/4 days with expedited shipping, 1-2 weeks otherwise. The hat comes open-crown, which means you have to put the bash - or creases - in yourself. Using steam, or a misting of water to make the felt more pliable/retain its shape better.
