Peter Freedman AM is the Founder & Managing Director of RØDE Microphones http://en.rode.com/ Recently announced as a Member of the Order of Australia, and a former Ernst & Young Industry Entrepreneur of the Year for Australia, Peter Freedman AM is the Managing Director of RØDE Microphones. Peter founded RØDE in the early 1990s, creating a new market in high-quality microphones accessible to a mass audience. By creating an infrastructure for design and manufacture of microphones in Australia, RØDE has now become one of the world's largest microphone manufacturers and an internationally recognised name in studio, professional broadcast and consumer electronics. In this video Peter explains his approach to decision-making and managing RODE to take the company from a small shop front to a diversified global company with a prestigious brand. Peter shares insights into the tools and strategies he uses to grow the company from the operation and manufacturing facilities based in Sydney, Australia. He describes how automation and new technologies are changing the business processes and reveals how he considers trends and the global business environment to imagine the future of the electronics industry and RODE’s leading position within it.
