Usually from June 1980 until the introduction of CEEFAX pages as the gap filler from May 1983, BBC2 would re-open transmissions with CEEFAX in-vision pages at 3.20pm with tone before music begins playing at 3.30pm and then finally handing over to the testcard at 4pm until Open University programmes begin at 5.10pm in term time or at 5.40pm if it wasn't. The only exceptions to this rule are when BBC2 carries children's programmes over from BBC1 because of news events or if educational programmes were shown during the day on BBC2. At 4pm, sometimes the regions would opt out from the testcard and place PM5544 instead with regional tapes, therefore the transmitters would be pre-booked for this use. Before the introduction of CEEFAX in 1980, it was normal practice for black roster to appear before the testcard but music would play for a few minutes. Enjoy here my efforts of the last 10 minutes complete with tracks 7-9 of Tulsa, composed by the Opus Orchestra.
