Russian attack on Kharkiv kills at least seven

At least seven people including a child were killed and a further 77 people wounded in Russian aerial attacks on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Friday, according to local officials. A series of blasts in the afternoon left a 12-storey apartment block engulfed in flames and large clouds of smoke billowing into the air as sirens rang through the city. Five locations across the city were reportedly hit, including industrial areas and the Slobidsky district, damaging further residential buildings and warehouses.
