Scott Galloway said Damodaran sees no safe place in today’s market. Goldman Sachs also expects US stocks to lag global peers for the next decade and advised moving toward emerging markets which could benefit India in 2026. Galloway said the S&P 500 trades at 22x forward P E versus the 17x average, levels seen only in the dot com bubble and Covid before sharp declines. Even Walmart and Costco look expensive. Gold is up over 55 percent and Bitcoin touched 126251 before easing. India’s economic advisor V Anantha Nageshwaran warned that IPOs are becoming exit routes for early investors. Business Standard said 55 IPOs from April to September raised 65000 crore rupees mostly through offer for sale. Global markets fear an AI bubble while India sees IPO buzz and heavy retail activity. Yet India may draw AI related flows. CLSA strategist Alexander Redman said India still offers demographic dividend urbanisation credit growth and reform and said money that shifted to China could return. India’s mid caps hit a record with the Nifty Midcap 100 at 61180 on strong earnings. Sensex hit 84950 and Nifty 50 reached 26013. The rupee firmed but remains weak in Asia. India finalised its first structured LPG import deal with the US for 2026. Trump eased duties on tea spices and food items. Exporters say this could support up to three billion dollars of shipments and aid India US trade talks. India’s Exports Fall: Exports fell 11.8 percent in October to 34 billion dollars while imports rose 16 percent widening the trade deficit to 41.6 billion dollars. Gold imports jumped sharply due to a 55 percent rise in global prices. Exports to the US slipped to 6.3 billion dollars but still improved from September. Indian shipments to the US have fallen almost 28 percent since May costing 2.5 billion dollars in monthly value. Rural Demand Powers India’s Cement Expansion: India’s cement industry plans to add up to 170 million tonnes of capacity between 2026 and 2028 driven by strong demand and high utilisation. Crisil found rural demand now plays a major role with rural consumption at 32 percent compared to urban at 24 percent. New Airport: Navi Mumbai airport will begin commercial operations on December 25 with 23 daily departures scaling to 34 by February. Mumbai airport crossed 1000 daily flight movements becoming one of the busiest single runway airports in the world. Air India will resume New Delhi China flights starting February 26.
