For those who don't know what the CMOS issue is, I'll try my best to explain it here: Basically there is a small watch battery inside every PS4 system (Kind of like save batteries in NES, SNES, and Game Boy Games) which is used to track the date & time as well as some other things. One of the things the battery keeps track of is the system used to unlock trophies. When that internal battery dies (And it will die eventually), then the system for trophies can't initialize, and as a result any game that has trophies (Like 99% of PS4 games) will no longer be able to start. There are only two solutions to this issue. The first solution is to connect to set the date and time using the internet in the system settings. This really isn't ideal since it connects to Sony's servers to verify the date and those servers aren't going to be around forever. The second solution is to install the GoldHEN exploit on the system, which can only be done on up to firmware 7.55, has to be done each time you restart the system, and could also get the system banned, so this isn't a great fix either. Earlier firmwares with the exploit can also reset the CMOS battery time so you won't have to do it on each restart, but not many system have older firmware, and there are tons of games that require newer firmwares to work. The best fix I can see happening is for Sony to update the firmware themselves and fix the issue, but we need to make them aware of this issue because otherwise they won't fix it.
