The Blood Must Flow by Lorcan Ward A Warhammer 40k World Eaters inspired Thrash Metal song No AI tools were used in the creation of this song. All human made and played. There’s two ways to interpret the POV of this song. The first is with this video which was a later addition. A chaos space marine about to join Abaddon’s Black Legion has visions of what Khorne offers. The second is the POV of Khârn which was what inspired the song’s lyrics. I hadn’t planned to write a Khorne song but it just came to me in a wave of inspiration. I tried to mix lyrics that were slightly comical and serious, portraying someone in the depths of the butcher’s nails but also looking back at the their legion’s history. Musically I went for thrash metal in the style of Slayer, Pantera, Metallica etc but also heavily influenced by DOOM(the solo draws from E4M1 and outro E3M3). The music is meant to portray the World Eaters charging into battle. If you’ve ever seen the film “Gangs of New York” I was imaging Daniel Day-Lewis as Kharn charging the frontlines.
