This video explains how you can replace the lightbulbs of the license place on a Mazda 3. No tools are required to do this repair. In this case the Mazda is model year 2006, which uses bulbs of types 2825 or W5W (both types are similar bulbs). There are two bulbs total in the small plastic housings, which are embedded in the bumper on top of the license plate. Push the housing towards the vehicle and you should be able to pull it out of the bumper. Start with the housing on the left side.
