October is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome awareness month. Dr. Richard Goldstein, director of the Robert’s Program on Sudden Unexplained Death in Pediatrics, provides an overview of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), including historical perspectives, definitions, current understanding of potential etiologies, and emerging research. Additionally, Dr. Goldstein offers practical tips for speaking with caregivers about SIDS.
