This is a full-length (50-minute) tutorial for my HIRricane mod, featuring my custom-designed 3D parts. The capacity of this version is 90 balls, with a quick load flip top. These are available on my website in four colors listed for sale in the link below. I STRONGLY recommend watching the whole video before starting your mod. It will save you time in the long run. This video took 10 hours to shoot, and another whole day to edit. I hope it’s complete, but was a challenge to shoot due to the complexity of the mod. I’ll do my best to get annotations for table of contents. NOTE: The current version does NOT need the Voltage boost circuit, as the new fan is much stronger. It also doesn't require shell cutting. UPDATE: Due to our supplier no longer carrying the appropriate fans, and due to the discontinuation of the Nerf Rival Zeus as a product available on shelves, we came to the unfortunate decision to discontinue selling kits and fully assembled HIR-ricanes. However, we do sell our Proton Pack, which can be adapted to work with virtually any rival-compatible blaster -- including the Zeus: https://outofdarts.com/collections/pr... 0:00 Opening 1:19 Parts & Supplies Required 3:49 Disassembling the Blaster 8:32 Converting the Blaster to Full-Auto 13:04 Dremel Demo 18:14 Installing the Flywheel Cutoff Switch 19:29 Modifying the Blower Fan 21:56 Cutting the Zeus Shell 26:39 Installing the Rev Switch 28:19 Wiring the Blaster 40:06 OPTIONAL - Cutting Charging Port Access 40:54 Wiring the Blower Fan 42:17 Adjusting the Fan Voltage 43:50 Reassembling the Blaster 45:55 Assembling the Tubing 48:15 Final Assembly 49:24 Firing Demo 49:47 Closing Remarks Tube lengths: 5 tubes total (in order of ball flow) 10" 14 5/8" 15 1/2" 14 5/8" 10" FULL COMPONENT LIST: (UPDATED WITH NEW ELBOW LINK on McMaster) Blower: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11270 Tubing: 1.09” polycarbonate tubing: This is available at mcmaster as 2044T47 http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/121/..., but Tap Plastics has the same thing, though they are selling it as florescent tubing guards.
