(1:55​) Buccal fat pad removal, also known as cheek fat removal, is a procedure that removes excess fat pads from the cheeks to create a more contoured and symmetrical facial appearance. It is generally used to reduce chubby cheeks (“chipmunk cheeks”) that can be due to genetics or weight gain. It’s performed from the inside of the mouth and does not result in visible scars on the face. How is Submental Liposuction Performed? All of the areas will be numbed with local anesthesia for comfort during and after the procedure.
