Hey Ya'll👋 and welcome back to my channel! I have been collecting these beautiful Neoregelia Bromeliads for several months now and finally acquired enough to plant under this Pygmy Date Palm Tree in our front yard. Neoregelia Bromeliads do require some sunlight to maintain their beautiful vivid color and this area receives a strong bright dappled light most of the day. Since these Bromeliads are epiphytes, they don't necessarily need soil to grow in. In there natural environment, they attach their roots to structures, like the trees and dangle from above deriving their nutrients from Organic matter in the air. Bromeliads can also be planted directly into the soil, much like I will do here. The area these Bromeliads will be planted in is congested with the roots from the overhead palm trees and will provide a light, chunky soil for them to sit in that drains well and will allow there roots to anchor in for stability. I hope you enjoy the video and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! 😀 #neoregelia bromeliads #bromeliads #southfloridagardening 🌴 SUBSCRIBE for more gardening videos: / growingtropical 🌴 CONNECT WITH ME: Instagram - / growingtropical Email - [email protected]
