The Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is the only Tokyo hotel I've stayed in twice! The location's excellent, right in the middle of Kabukicho and a very short walk from Shinjuku Station, which is well connected so you can get around Tokyo easily. The rooms are good, with a larger bathroom than many in Tokyo. The hotel starts on floor 8 (it's above Toho Cinemas), so you're guaranteed a room with a high floor, and many have city views. I loved the sparkling view over Tokyo! Plus: there's a Godzilla statue on the hotel! If you stay there, you can go out on the terrace right next to Godzilla (although it has been closed recently). There are small Godzilla touches around the hotel, like a scene in the lobby to pose with. The video also covers whether it's safe to stay in Kabukicho, which is the red light district and is often called the "bad area" of Tokyo.
