The winner of the California Championship Series will receive a free spot in the 2026 International Finals event in Belgium. “This is an amazing opportunity for drivers to compete on the world stage without owning a kart or requiring a significant amount of sponsorship,” said Philip Pegler, CEO and President of Formula KFX. “My goal when establishing Formula KFX, and partnering with Rotax and the Rotax Racing Club, was to offer a series of championships built on equipment parity and equal opportunity. “Motorsports is often inherently expensive, even for the most subsidized of organizations. With Formula KFX, drivers can be assured of racing on a level playing field in a high-performance kart, but with a significantly lower financial outlay and the frequently overlooked logistical obstacles that owner-drivers experience with purchasing and maintaining their own equipment.” The 2025 California Championship Series will feature Juniors, two classes of Seniors and Masters drivers, competing at Sonoma Raceway Karting Center on Sept. 20, Oct. 11, Nov. 15 and Dec. 13. Drivers can register for the 2025 California Championship Series at formulakfx.com/championship. The Rotax Racing Club (RRC) International Finals will debut May 29-30, 2026, at the world-renowned Karting Genk circuit in Belgium, offering an Arrive and Drive experience for top drivers worldwide. Drivers aiming to race at the 2026 RRC International Finals will need to qualify via one of the designated Rotax-powered national arrive-and-drive championships, which includes the 2025 Rotax Racing Club California Championship Series. Each of the national championships around the world will be allocated a number of spaces per class at the RRC International Finals, with exact numbers to be released later in 2025.
