Nicholas McCarthy is a globally-acclaimed pianist who was born without his right hand and he remains the only one-handed pianist to graduate from the Royal College of Music. In this interview, he talks about the work of the pianist Paul Wittgenstein in commissioning works for left-hand alone, as well as his own work to diversify the repertoire. He also talks about two of his favourite pieces, Ravel's Concerto for Piano (left-hand) and Britten's Diversions for Piano (left-hand) and Orchestra.
