In this video, I have explained the winter gardening tasks for February and March—the spring season in India. I have also introduced my plants across all my garden areas. By ‘all garden areas,’ I mean the various spaces I have developed at home, including the front yard, backyard, balcony, and magazine garden. I have showcased my plants in full bloom, whether they are summer plants, permanent plants, or winter-flowering plants. These two months bring joy, relaxation, and growth to all plants due to the pleasant weather. Since it is neither too hot nor too cold, the hormone levels in plants are at their peak, promoting healthy growth. Below are some essential gardening tasks to focus on during this period: Cutting and pruning Repotting and replanting Propagation through division or stem cuttings Providing nutrients such as fertilisers, vermicompost, or cow dung compost There are two key seasons that are especially favourable for these activities and are considered the best for plant growth: July–August – High humidity, warm rather than scorching summer temperatures, and rainfall supply plants with essential minerals and vitamins, helping them thrive and turn lush green. February–March – Winter plants reach maturity, and permanent plants awaken from dormancy, beginning to bloom. However, February is not always the ideal time for hardening tasks, as winter may extend into mid-February. It is essential to observe and assess when spring has truly begun. Signs include milder temperatures, the need for lighter clothing, and the first signs of blooms on plants. Sone of the plants that I introduced in all my gardens are as follows; 1. Snake plants 2. Foxtail Fern 3. Thunbergia 4. tulsi 5. Phinix palm 6. Dieffenbachia 7. Rubber plant 8. Sadabahar 9. Chrysanthemum 10. Song of India 11. Common dracinna 12. Devil’s backbone 13. Neon pothos 14.
