I used the original verse with slight alterations, added in an altered intro and a new chorus. I took the unreleased verse from the 1992 Radio take called "Brothers In The Penn" and made it as verse 2. From there, I built out the outro to mirror some elements of the original outro. It is not clear as to why Tupac recorded a totally different verse for the radio and the explicit or why he sounds much older on the 1993 version as it should have been recorded in the same time period. However, it seems the "Brothers" version was for the unreleased 1992 album 'Troublesome 21', and the 'N*ggaz* version was for 'Thug Life Vol. 1' I decided to combine these verses and make a solo record, as I envisioned that this is what they should have done back in 2004 for Loyal To The Game. All vocals in this track are performed by DJ Skandalous.
